Introduction to APUS History
Welcome to OBHS APUS History for the 2020-2021 year. This website serves several functions that you should be aware of:
1) All class notes from each unit will be placed here at the start of a unit. You must print the notes prior to class. Since each unit's notes will be on this page, you will know exactly where we are and what we are learning in class. Being absent from class (barring a major illness, etc.) can no longer be an excuse for not knowing what was covered in class.
2) In addition to notes, other documents may be placed on the website (depending upon the unit). These documents may be primary or secondary sources, charts, maps, etc. These MAY or MAY NOT be used during the class period (again, depends on the unit). Regardless, if they are on this website then it is your responsibility to read / study them.
3) Web videos will also be placed on this site. They may be from the History Channel, Youtube, etc. Again, it is your responsibility to watch these videos. I will also place videos that review the chapter or unit so that you can study for the test.
4) There are no comments section on this site. Parents and students- if you wish to contact me with any questions or concerns use my school email.
So, I expect each of my students to visit this website at the start of each unit, and then return here as needed for review, etc. I will not know if you have or not- it is your choice. This is a college level course, and I treat it as such. You know your responsibility, and you should act accordingly.
Below you will find the syllabus The syllabus is a general overview of our APUS course, and it is a great tool to use to review for each unit.
